Hi friends💙 Wanted to post a quick update. So since my last update the beginning of June this is the latest. The new chemo seems to be tolerable until the end of the 2nd week. Basically I’m on the pills 2 weeks then off a week. They cause me all the normal side effects exhaustion, nausea and digestive problems. I had all the above with them to the next level last weekend which was the end of the 2nd week cycle. So I was pretty sick but felt like I was headed on the upside until Tuesday when I experienced severe relentless pain in my abdominal area moving around to my kidneys. So after trying to medicate myself, the doctor suggested I head to the hospital. So I was in the hospital 2 nights. Turns out a UTI and I was in need of a blood transfusion. My hgb was at 6. That’s pretty low. I needed to get at least 2 units of blood which I did. Also, my kidney is retaining fluid again so need my stint replaced in a couple weeks 😣 blah..but on another note I’m so thankful to all that donate blood! I cant imagine how long I would be hospitalized if they didnt have blood to give me! So since I got out yesterday afternoon I’ve been resting. I’m still feeling pretty sluggish, but hoping to feel better soon. Thanks to everyone for the kind notes,texts,cards and messages. Also thanks for the numerous deliveries we have recieved to make our life a tad easier. We appreciate all of this more than we can ever express! Our family has been nothing short of amazing, dropping everything to take care of our girls and organizing help. Would be able to survive without you all💙💙 so until next time….thanks for your support!!
