Feeling sad (6/14/17)

Feeling sad (6/14/17)

Hello friends  I’m updating you tonight feeling very sad, worried and defeated… As some of you know, I had to get a scan yesterday that was ordered by my doctor due to my blood work (tumor markers) being elevated. To my disappointment my scan confirmed my elevated markers. I heard the words a cancer patient never wants to hear “your cancer has progressed”. Basically to sum it up all of my tumors have grown and I have additional growths in my…

Not such great news (4/19/17)

Not such great news (4/19/17)

Good evening. So I am here with my latest update. Today I met with my Dr. to discuss my PET scan that I had yesterday. To my disappointment, my cancer has progressed. I am going to describe the information the best I can. How they determine this is by comparing scan to scan. So in this case my most recent PET scan not counting yesterday was February 9th. In that time every tumor had grown (not by a ton) but…

Current health status – (3/2/17)

Good evening 💜 I’m stopping in with my most current health status… so as I had posted last week I ended up in the hospital for 4 days. It all started with what I thought was just a skin irritation which turned out to be Shingles. Now normally people don’t get hospitalized for this but I was due to the fact I was running a fever of 102 and it was on my face and my eyelid. This was definitely…

Still on chemo break!! (2/17/17)

Good morning 🤓 Just wanted to stop in and say hello! I am still on chemo break which is AMAZING!! As long as my tumors stay stable I get to stay on this break! Follow up on chemo break (1/24/17)

Good evening 💜 just saying hello and a little update. So I believe my last post was about my chemo break so I will follow that up! I have been on a chemo break since the week before Christmas. Like I have said I still go every other week for blood work and Avastin infusions. To monitor my situation they check my CEA(tumor marker) numbers usually once a month. My last test for that was November 30th so I went…

Back sooner than expected… (12/20/16)

Well friends I’m back sooner than expected with an update. So starting yesterday afternoon I began to have sharp pains in my liver area and rib cage radiating to my back. I’ve been battling a severe cold and cough since the beginning of October. So at first I thought I had pulled a muscle coughing but it continued to get worse. As a cancer patient you have to report every change as they are always looking for blood clots. So…
