Good evening 💜 I’m stopping in with my most current health status… so as I had posted last week I ended up in the hospital for 4 days. It all started with what I thought was just a skin irritation which turned out to be Shingles. Now normally people don’t get hospitalized for this but I was due to the fact I was running a fever of 102 and it was on my face and my eyelid. This was definitely a suprise because generally it happens in older people. Basically it happened to me because I have a compromised immune system. I was very frustrated to be in the hospital away from my family but I’m so thankful my doctor sent me because I had round the clock IV fluids, antiviral meds and antibiotics. So I’m happy to say that I am all cleared from that!! However while I was in the hospital they discovered a decent sized cyst in my right ear. Unfortunately these don’t go away on their own and actually can cause a lot of problems. So I’ve referred to an ENT and I go next week.
So needless to say, it’s never just a smooth sailing week for me. I had hoped this chemo break would be me feeling back to normal full of energy and that has not been the case…I’m a little frustrated and feeling a little defeated but I’m getting my head back in the game…Cancer has reeked havoc on my body, I’m not going to let it get my spirit too!! With all this said I’m super thankful for all of you sending me cards with uplifting notes. They have been so helpful. I’m also so very thankful for my amazing medical staff for always taking good care of me. As for my husband, you are truly amazing and a gift from God as he knew I would need someone like you to to lift me up when I am down and fill in my shoes when I’m too weak.
