Long day of appointments (9/12/17)
Good morning 💜 Here is my update for the moment!
So yesterday I had a scan to just see how things are going. I had prepared mentally for the absolute worst as I’ve become pretty regular to bad news. It was a long day with my first appt at 8am for the scan then Dr. Appt. At 10:20 to discuss results and pending on those results chemo after. So according to the doctor my scan showed all of my tumors have grown but by a small amount and from what he could tell no new ones have formed. He said each tumor they measured had grown around 1mm. Which he was please because my treatment hasn’t been regular due to low blood counts and illness. So he said he is considering this stable and to resume on the current plan for now. So 4 more rounds and then I will get scans again. I have to say I’m celebrating this and left with a smile!! Any growth is scary however between my last 2 scans the growth was more than that and it had only been 4 weeks between the 2. So I had chemo yesterday still at the reduction and taking my clinical trial pills still at a reduction and he wants me to increase those next week if I recover well from this chemo.
On another note I don’t known how many of you have had scans and gotten a report from a radiologist. Although they are predominantly looking in my case tumors and growth, other things often show up and written out in a way too smart for me lol so there are a few things on my report I have questions about I plan on asking the doctor if I should be concerned. When he was reading my results he didn’t have the report in hand he wa going off of himself looking at my images. He was accurate on those, there was just a few other things talked about in the report. Of course I googled and nothing major, I’m just curious 😉
Again all of you with your continued support thank you so much!!! Thank you all for loving me and my family through this journey it helps so very much!!!
Have a wonderful day, say hello and give someone a smile!!
Xoxo

Ps below is a screenshot from a stage 4 cancer support group I’m in on fb…this is just a statistic just from our group..the recommended age to receive a colonoscopy is 50. Clearly this needs to be changed!! Please advocate for yourself, if something isn’t right, fight for answers!!
